Annual General Meeting

Extend Learning Academies Network held its AGM on 3 February at Mendip Green Primary School, bringing together members and leaders from across the trust.

The meeting covered key governance updates — including the election of the Chair, review of annual accounts to August 2025, and approval of updates to core documents. Members also noted changes in governance roles and appointed external auditors for the year ahead.

CEO Adam Matthews shared an engaging review of the trust’s achievements over the past year, celebrating successes across our schools and highlighting standout moments that reflect what we’ve accomplished together.

A particularly special moment came when incoming CEO James Oakley delivered a heartfelt tribute to Adam, thanking him for his leadership, dedication and significant contribution over many years — a warm and well‑deserved acknowledgement that resonated with everyone in the room.

The discussion throughout was open, positive and forward‑thinking — exactly what we hope for from our AGMs.

A big thank you to Justin Harvey-Bennett for chairing the meeting. The evening was full of great energy, a strong sense of teamwork and plenty to celebrate. We left feeling proud of what ELAN has achieved — and excited for the year ahead.
