Reception Admissions
Children starting school September 2026
If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 they will be due to start Reception year in September 2026.
It’s really important to apply by the relevant closing date or you may not be considered in the first round of applications. We can’t reserve a place for those who apply late, so you’ll be less likely to get your preferred school. You can name up to three preferences and they can be schools both within and outside North Somerset.

The application window for Reception 2026 opened on Friday 12 September 2025. You can apply online or on a paper application form. All applications are processed by North Somerset Council School Admissions.

The deadline for the submission of applications to North Somerset School Admissions is 11:59pm Thursday 15 January 2026.
Our admission arrangements for Bournville, Locking, Oldmixon and Windwhistle have a supplementary information form (SIF) to be completed and submitted with your application for school (download the relevant form below)
